The monday.com connector for Aprimo DAM automates the transfer of marketing and creative assets from project boards to the digital asset management system. Key features include automated asset delivery triggered by status changes, version control to prevent duplicates, and precise metadata mapping from monday.com columns to DAM fields. This integration ensures brand governance by syncing only approved content while providing bi-directional status tracking between both platforms.

What it Does

Finished creative and marketing files move from monday.com into Aprimo DAM automatically when tasks reach a specific status. Each transfer creates a governed asset or a new version of an existing one while carrying over descriptive task data. The connector updates the original task with the asset ID and a direct link to the DAM for easy reference.

How It Works

After connecting a monday.com account, the system polls designated boards at scheduled intervals for tasks matching a specific status. A detected trigger causes the most recently attached file to upload to Aprimo DAM along with its mapped metadata. Each task supports only one file transfer, so additional attachments on the same task are ignored. Transfers move exclusively from monday.com to the DAM. Checkbox fields, date ranges, or mirror columns are excluded from metadata mapping. If a file is already linked to an existing asset, the system updates the version instead of creating a duplicate.

Key Capabilities

  • Active monday.com account with administrative access to target boards
  • Aprimo Technical Services engagement for initial configuration

FAQ

What is the primary purpose of the monday.com connector?
The connector automates the flow of marketing and creative assets from monday.com to Aprimo DAM. It ensures that governed files and accurate metadata are moved into the DAM the moment a task is marked as ready, eliminating the need for manual uploads.

How does the connector determine when to move a file from monday.com to Aprimo DAM?
The integration triggers a transfer when a task status on a designated monday.com board reaches a pre-defined value. It then polls these boards at scheduled intervals to identify and process tasks ready for sync.

Can I sync multiple file attachments from a single monday.com task?
No. The current version of the connector processes only one file per task—specifically the most recently attached file. Multiple attachments on a single task are not supported.

What types of metadata can be synced between the two platforms?
The connector maps task information from monday.com columns (such as Brand, Region, or Launch Date) directly to specific fields in Aprimo DAM. However, it does not support syncing checkbox fields, date ranges, or mirror columns.

How does the integration handle file revisions and duplicates?
If a file is already linked to an existing Aprimo asset, the connector performs a version update rather than creating a duplicate. This ensures the DAM always contains the latest version of the file while maintaining asset integrity.

How can users confirm if a file successfully synced to the DAM?
The connector provides bi-directional status tracking by writing the Aprimo asset ID, a direct link, and a sync confirmation back to the monday.com task. If a transfer fails, it is tracked via a sync status field on the task for easy troubleshooting.
