One of the more visible aspects of marketing is the vast range materials produced. With the benefit of computing technology, these materials are all maintained in some electronic format today. The challenge comes into finding components when needed (where’s that graphic of our product under the palm tree?), managing the revision of the final products (is this the most recent version of our product sheet?) and providing access to this materials (did we send this to the sales team or put is on the file share?). Digital Asset Management is a class of software aimed at addressing these issues.
How does Aprimo Professional provide Digital Asset Management?
Aprimo Professional includes a digital asset manager to provide structure, version control, search and on-demand distribution of your digital assets. Descriptive information (metadata) associated with each asset allows users to search on an asset based on keywords, descriptions, asset types (e.g. presentation, collateral, graphic, logo) or location. A flexible folder structure allows an intuitive hierarchy to be defined with the ability to include the same copy of an asset in multiple folders. Update an asset to the latest version to remove access to previous versions and make sure your team is using the most current asset. Finally, this structure can be exposed through a portal so external users (sales, agencies, dealers, etc.) can see and access only those assets you want them to see (down to the individual level) to allow on-demand access via the web anytime or anywhere.
